Welcome to 2022, I hope you’ve got a beverage…

… because y’all have been a thirsty bunch of cunts for new content.

A note from the Editor:

My sincere apologies for the delay between posts.

Unfortunately, the past two years have been a testament to how shit can get in the way and suck the life and motivation out of everything around you.

Priorities needed to shift away from nice-to-haves, but I still made sure to keep some semblance (where possible) of contact to keep aware of what was going on in magic.

At the same time, I had a lot of people check in on me.

All of you, whether you know it or not, it was (and still is) something I will be forever grateful for. Even just shooting the shit for a few minutes on a video call or a random IM;

Thank you

I recently was reminded of a post I put up in 2012 about shit rumoured to be coming out, and thought, fuck it, let’s see what actually came of those speculations.

After 10 years, I’m happy to report that most magicians are still the same bunch of lazy cunts they’ve always been. Bravo.

What’s been surprising is the broad prevalence now of self-published, self-released content across different mediums. While lowering the bar for entry has meant there’s more shit to sift through to find the golden nuggets, it also means that finding those treasure troves is much cheaper and less restrictive.

Also, the amalgamation of different magic producers/publishers has become fucking weird (Hermetic Press now under ownership of Penguin, Vanishing Inc. becoming almost a monopoly on the magic publishing industry)

Shit I don’t recommend:
The Boy Who Cried Magic
Sorry excuse for a release.
Really looking forward to Vol. 2 explaining why his tricks aren’t the same as So Sato’s

The deluxe edition of Asi Wind’s Before We Begin
Why the fuck should I spend $90 extra on a signed endplate and a piece of shit case?

Studio 52’s marketing
(Why does Ben look like he just took a really violent shit?)

Anything on Michael Vincent’s social media – Just.. don’t.
The man apparently killed Vernon by touching him and is gloating about it?

Fictional releases I (don’t) want to see:

Craig Petty:
Presenting his overdue, fathomed work on the Zarrow shuffle
(GIF courtesy of Denis Behr’s Conjuring Archive)

Ben Earl & Studio 52 present:

The London Super Neo-Movement Underground Shift With Blood Sweat and Tears in the Desert (Limited edition, never to be reproduced or resold except when Ben decides he needs the money)

Asi Wind’s Work on Post-Pre-Show:
Slightly After We Begin

Andi Gladwin’s Next Opus:
The Boy Who Cried Coin Magic

Michael Vincent’s Autobiography:
“If I had Done It”; Receiving the Baton from Vernon

Jason England Does Erdnase:
A 15-DVD set where Jason England gives his thought on Erdnase and it’s definitely not Steve Forte’s thoughts he’s just appropriated

What else is good? TELL ME WHAT IS GOOD
SHOW ME YOUR FUCKING THUMBS YOU EVOLVED BEINGS!!
I”M BACK FUCKERRRRRRRRRRSSSSS HAHAHAHHAHAHHH
